Samantha L. (Chapman) Koreski graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2003. Upon graduating, Ms.Koreski attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV as a John Marshall Scholar. While at Marshall, Ms. Koreski served as the editor of the Marshall University Honors Newsletter and president of the Marshall University Collegiate 4-H Club. Ms. Koreski also maintained memberships in the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.

Ms. Koreski graduated magna cum laude from Marshall University in 2007 where she obtained degrees in both English and Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science.

Ms. Koreski attended law school at West Virginia University from 2007 to 2010. During those years, Ms. Koreski served as both President and Vice President of the Alliance for Social Justice and served as committee chair for Women’s Law Caucus and Student Bar Association events. Ms. Koreski was an active member of the Public Interest Advocates and is a trained magistrate court mediator. During her third year of law school, Ms. Koreski represented low-income clients under the supervision of West Virginia University College of Law faculty members as part of the Clinical Law Program.

Ms. Koreski studied at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany in 2008 as a participant in the 10th Annual Summer School on Dispute Resolution, where she joined a group of diverse students from approximately 40 countries for the purpose of building negotiation and mediation skills. The following summer, Ms. Koreski was awarded a fellowship at ChildLaw Services, Inc., a non-profit legal organization located in Princeton, WV, which devotes its practice exclusively to serving children.

Ms. Koreski began working as a law clerk at Kaufman & McPherson, PLLC upon her graduation from the West Virginia University College of Law in May 2010. Ms. Koreski was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar in October 2010. Following her admission, Ms. Koreski joined Kaufman & McPherson, PLLC as an associate attorney.

Ms. Koreski is a family law mediator, certified by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. She also continues to serve children as an appointed guardian ad litem in Family Court cases. Currently, one hundred percent of Ms. Koreski’s practice is devoted to family law.

Ms. Koreski and her husband, Michael, live in Bridgeport.
